We know this camper well at Johnsons Autoworks as we’ve maintained it for over 15 years. It was built in 1968 and spent most of its life in California, before making it over to the UK in the early 2000s, and we repainted it shortly afterwards.

A few years ago we replaced the engine, upgrading it to 1641 cc’s with twin Dellorto carburettors and a new stainless exhaust system. We also carried out a disc brake conversion making this a very reliable camper, which has had very little use since.

It comes with its original Westfalia interior, which has been fully reupholstered to a very high standard by Vaughan at Custom Classic & Retro.

The rear bench seat features two lap belts. There is a bunk in the pop-top, and the canvas is still in excellent condition.

Although tax and MOT exempt, we recently had it MOT’d and it passed without advisories. Apart from a few cosmetic blemishes, this is a lovely van, in rock-solid condition, ready to roll straight off the Johnsons' lot. 

We’re selling it on behalf of the current owners as they don’t have the time to enjoy it enough anymore.
